June 5, 2008 - Children from Istanbul's AIP, Urgent Need Project Foundation (UNPF), ran side by side with Herbalife independent distributors and employees in a fun run to celebrate the opening of a Casa Herbalife program at the center.
The grant will allow UNPF to help provide healthy meals and nutritional education to hundreds of children and their families. UNPF has been providing assistance to at-risk children since 1995. The charity provides many services, including tutoring, educational scholarships, medical care and hot, healthy meals.
In addition, UNPF also assists families of the children they serve in navigating government programs for much-needed financial assistance. HFF is a 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation dedicated to improving children's lives by helping organizations provide healthy nutrition to children at risk. The Casa Herbalife program was launched in 2005 to help provide healthy and nutritious meals by partnering with existing charities serving children. There are now 34 Casa Herbalife programs worldwide.
