LOS ANGELES, Jan 19, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) — The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) has expanded its Casa Herbalife program, designed to bring good nutrition to children, to Chile.
Through the Casa Herbalife program, HFF provides funds to existing organizations serving children to improve nutrition-related functions such as upgrading kitchens, appliances or the ability to provide healthier foods.
In Santiago, Chile, a donation has been made to the NAIM Corporation, an orphanage that currently takes care of 27 children, to enable a comprehensive renovation of the organization's kitchen and the purchase of new appliances. This represents the second donation HFF has made to NAIM.
HFF is supported by Herbalife and its independent distributors and employees.
This inauguration marks the eighth Casa Herbalife program established around the world. Others include the original orphanage the HFF built in Brazil from which the programs gets its name; A Place Called Home in South Central, Los Angeles; Atlanta Children's Shelter; Associacao Case Da Crianca De Santos in Brazil; Aga Children's Home in Hungary; Singapore Children's Society in Singapore; and Kobe Jitsugyo Gakuin in Japan. HFF will continue to roll out this program worldwide.
Since its inception in 1994, HFF has donated over $6.5 million in over 25 countries around the world to support children in need, as well as assist victims of disasters.
