LOS ANGELES, Nov 23, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) — The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) has expanded its Casa Herbalife program, designed to bring good nutrition to children, to Hungary and Singapore.
Through the Casa Herbalife program, the HFF provides funds to existing organizations serving children to improve nutrition-related functions such as upgrading kitchens, appliances or the ability to provide healthier foods.
In Budapest, Hungary, a donation has been made to the Aga Children's Home to enable it to improve kitchen facilities as well as support the nutritional program for the next year for the 41 children who currently live there.
In Singapore, a Casa Herbalife has been established at the Singapore Children's Society to enable the facility to retrofit the kitchen facilities at the Henderson Student Care Center, as well as support the nutritional program for one year.
HFF is supported by Herbalife and its independent distributors and employees.
There are now six Casa Herbalife programs established around the world. Others include the original orphanage the HFF built in Brazil from which the programs gets its name; A Place Called Home in South Central, Los Angeles; Atlanta Children's Shelter; and Associacao Case Da Crianca De Santos in Brazil. HFF will continue to roll out this program worldwide.
Since its inception in 1994, HFF has donated over $6.5 million in over 25 countries around the world to support children in need, as well as assist victims of disasters.
